Christmas Cookies...

We have a family tradition where we make lots and lots of cookies around the holidays!! We jumped right into December by having a cookie day!! Check out our Cookie teams!

And of course we must have supplies! Check out just a few of the ingredients we used!

Grandma Roxie loves making cookies with her mini-chefs! lol Aren't these aprons and hats the cutest? I found them and had to buy lots! The boys had plain ones and the girls had gingham with lace trim. Mia wore all of them I think! She kept saying I want this one-It's my favorite and then 5 minutes later she'd have a new favorite! hahaha!

Mia, Grandma & Zues

We made Coconut Orange Chews, Chocolate Chip, Peppermint Snowballs, Snickerdoodles, Peanut Butter, Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Oaties, Stained Glass cut outs, Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk & of course our World Famous Sugar Cookie cut outs!!! We also made a few candies like chocolate covered pretzels and dipped peanut butter crackerwiches! Mmmmmmmm!!

When it is time to decorate them, everyone gets in on the act! Even my brother in law Carlos! What a hoot!

Mia loved decorating her cookies and couldn't hardly wait to eat them up! I can't blame her though, I think I ate 2 or 3 that 'accidentally' broke while I was decorating them! ;)

Here is a glimpse of the decorated sugar cookies! We love them so much! I of course had to make a few cookie heads! Check out Caiti and Madee in cookie form! lol After this phot was taken, I had to add more 'hair' lines to Caiti as I was informed that 'she has way more hair than that'! hahahahaha

We hope you enjoy these pics and maybe that you could even join us soon for cookie day!

Parade of Lights.....

Wow....what a fun evening!! Caitlin marched in the Parade with her school band in our Holiday Parade. She did not get to play a Tuba, but she played it's cousin the Barritone. We decorated it with lights and Poinsettia flowers. We found a Santa hat & Santa apron for her to wear! She looked so cute. It was freezing outside this evening though and we were all bundled up! Check out the kids waiting for the parade to begin! Preston was also in the band and we went out to eat with his family after it was over. What a good time. :)

Our New Family Photos...

I have always wanted to have our family photo made outside. I am so glad we did it this year! I love them so much. Check out the kids and then all of the crazy pictures she caught of Mia. :)

Aren't these a hoot!? She was being such a stinker and we were so upset that she wasn't cooperating, but when the pictures were developed, this is what we got and I love them all! Who knew being rotten could look this cute!?

Happy Birthday Girls!!!

We had a Birthday party for all 3 of the girls this weekend. It was so nice to see all of our family and to celebrate our sweet little ladies! We decided to go with an Ariel theme since Mia loves her. She was so excited when she saw the cake! It was hillarious to watch her with the candles. There were so many that she kept saying, 'oh my!'

Mia got a toy VW Bug from Aunt Karen that looks like Gma Roxie's. She loved it! She also got lots of new clothes which she loves!

Caiti got a new Kathy VanZeeland purse, A new Hoodie & some cash! She is all over that!

Madee also got a small Kathy VanZeeland bag and cash. She loved the Belle ornament and her new hoodie!

What a blast! We loved the whole day! We just cant believe that they are 14, 11 and 3!! The time is flying by.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

We had so much fun trick or treating tonight. Caiti dressed up as a Pretty Princess and Madee got her Army on. Thane was a Jedi Knight and Seth was Peter from The Chronicles of Narnia. Check out Miss Mimi in her USA Cheerleading outfit! She was so funny because she had been telling us forever that she wanted to be Ariel-The Little Mermaid, but when we were shopping for costumes, she saw this one and would have nothing else. She was like, ' look mommy I'm like Caiti!' So this is what we ended up with. She was so cute and even did some cheering for us! lol

My pics for the boys were too bad to post, so I will get some from my friend Karen and post them soon. :)

I got into the spirit too at my MK meeting. Check out my witch wig and lashes!

Harvest Dance...

Awwwwww....don't they look sweet? This is Caitlin and her boyfriend of 2 months Preston. Caiti went to the dance as a Pretty Princess and Preston of course is her Prince! ;)

I am so lucky to have this shot, as I was not there to document the occasion. Luckily, Caitlin is on the yearbook satff this year, and her friend Katie Stowers happened to catch this shot! Thanks Katie!! :)

Happy Birthday Boys!!

I can't believe the boys are 9 and 7!! Oh my where has the time gone?! The boys were so excited to see all of their friends and family! This year we went with a Transformers theme, since we just saw the movie.
The boys got lots of Lego's and some clothes. They weren't as thrilled about the latter! ;0)

Spirit of Indy....

Another cheer competition in Indianapolis this time. We were actually there supporting 2 teams as Caitlin was cheering for her School first and then for Power Elite second. Luckily they were not pitted against each other! ;) Preston, Caiti's boyfriend also came along for the day. It was nice to chat with him while Caiti was doing her thing! lol The Spartans did an amazing job for their first competition as a team! The people behind us could not believe that they were only 8th graders! I was so proud. :0) They of course took first place and here is Caniece, Caitlin, and Margaret holding their trophy! Yay!!!

Ok, so here we are after a wardrobe change & a hot dog from the concession stand- oh, and a $60 cheer wear purchase-of course right?! I was so excited to see the routine a second time and up close! The power girls knocked it out! They were fired up and the crowd could feel it! And we scored another first place for our division! Wahoo! Check out my ladies getting sassy with the spoils! ;0)

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Well, I am sure Daddy will have to knock Mommy out for posting this pic! Birthdays are BIG days here at our house and we celebrate every one of them. So, I just had to include this one here for you all. Gavin was a sport as usual and blew out his candles. ;) We did not put all 37 on there though- we were afraid there would not be a cake left under the flames! lol ;)
