Birthday Cruise....

Well, I will be 40 soon. =]   This means I need to take a cruise with my girlfriends!  So, My friend Kerry and I peeled out of Columbus to celebrate. My other good friend Karen was unable to come, :( but don't worry, we will have a do -over cruise sometime in the spring to make up for it! =] ha!

Kerry and I cruised on the Carnival Destiny to Ocho Rios, Jamiace and to Grand Cayman Island for 5 gloroius days of fun, adventure and rest!  We had a balcony suite, so we spent most of the two at sea days on our private balcony eating room service and chatting the way girlfriends do when there aren't any kids or jobs to be done. It was refreshing! =]  I am so very blessed to have such great friends and a loving family who allow me to steal away and fill my soul bucket every now and then! =]


I of course don't turn 40 until Oct 21st, but the deals on this cruise were too good to be missed, and  why not celebrate for a month right?!  Well, I am sure there will be more festivities to report on, so stay tuned.... =]

We have been wanting to do a family photo session with Whitney Ulm at Eminence Photography since she did Caitlin's Senior Pictures. We just love her work!!  Well she had a holiday mini session this weekend and I snagged us a spot.  So here is a sneak peek of our group shot!  You will of course see more as the holiday nears and I have a chance to order our faves!

Tournament Champs!

Congrats to Seth and the Columbus Wildcats Baseball Team for their wins this weekend and their Tournament Champions Title and Trophy!  So proud of them for keeping such great attitudes and battling to the end!

Seminar 2012

Who doesn't love a good motivational speech, cool stage show, and the opprotunity to dress up like you're going to the Oscars?  Man!  I get all of this in a jam packed 4 day conference with Mary Kay!  So excited to see all the compnay is preparing for our 50th year celebration!  Next year will be off the hook! =]

This is my National Sales Director Jan HArris!  She is the #1 National at the Pearl Seminar and the #4 National Nation Wide!!  So proud to be in her area!

Caitlin Graduates!

I cannot tell you how mixed my emotions are this weekend.....  We have been dreaming/dreading this day since her birth! =]  Every parent wants their child to grow up, be successful and spread their wings to fly, but in the months and days leading up to this accomplishment and new phase of her life,  I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking for the rewind button!!  Oh, how does a mother ever master the art of the release?? 

 Caitlin is a very successful, capable, bright young woman with the whole world waiting to be explored and we couln't be more proud of her!  What an amazing feeling to watch your daughter grow into the person you dreamed she could be!  My heart may explode before it's over... =]

 I have it easier than most, as Caitlin will be staying at home for at least the first semester or 2 of her college experience. She will be attending The International Culinary School at The Art Istitute of Indianapolis.  Her first 12 weeks classes are compacted into to full days, so we will commute and possibly stay overnight in a hotel for the night in between. It is cheaper than renting an apartment for the month, and she can still work her job here in Columbus.

Her Grad party went great, she had a wonderful turnout of family and friends, got some really great gifts and even a little extra cash for our upcoming Germany trip. =]  I know we all feel very blessed.

Mia lost one of her top front teeth today.  =]  She has had her two bottom teeth out and back in, but there is something pretty special and pretty funny about the top teeth!

Spring Break at Disney...

We didn't really have any plans for spring break, but as it started to approach, we couldn't miss the opportunity to sneak down to Disney!!  We were able to convince the Umphrey's to come along with us!

We arrived on St. Patty's Day, and it was fun to see everyone decked out in their green!

Caitlin got herself a mickey sugar cookie while we watched the electrical parade!  He was pretty tasty!

I got my nails done for this trip... look how cute they turned out!  Minnie polka dots and bows!! =]




The castle is so pretty at night!  We watched the fireworks from the back of the castle this time and it was so cool!  The fireworks were literally right above our heads!




The new Dumbo ride is beautiful! We had so much fun watching the ride even before we got on it!  Look how big my babies are getting! I love them so much and I am so grateful for all the special times like these! =]



This year, we decided to buy season passes because we will be going 3 times.  So it was pretty cool to go from one park to the other as we pleased. We visited Magic Kingdom every night and made our rounds to the other parks in the mornings.



Seth and Uncle Craig were goofing around in the Buzz lightyear ride!  Sooooo funny!

This was Mia's first time meeting Mickey! (She did met him when she was 3 but has no recollection of it.)  She was so excited!!  Look at this hug.... priceless!







Animal Kingdom was HOT!  I love that park, but there is no air moving in all those trees! hahaha  My favorite ride is here , Mt. Everest, we rode it twice.... and I loved it!  My favorite is at night, but I'll take it whenever I can get it! =]



Epcot had the Flower and Garden Show going on, so we got to see a butterfly garden and all these beautiful flowers and shrubs in the shapes of the characters!.  BEAUTIFUL!!

Superbowl XLVI

This week it was amazing to see and hear about all of the Superbowl activities in our wonderful city of Indianapolis! How exciting!!
We went into Superbowl village and had to check it out. There were tons of people and lots to do. We stayed for a free LMFAO concert and had a blast. :)
