JamFest in Louisville...

We went to our first real cheerleading competition this weekend. Caitlin's perserverance and hard work are paying off. It was a beautiful day and we were in Louisville, KY at the Bat's Stadium. I was so excited and a bit taken back by the sheer number of people in attendance! Caiti's team took first place in their division!! Yahoo! They also did a clean routine with the exception of one stunt. Good job ladies!!

Our friend Caniece came along for the day and we had so much fun. She was my partner in crime all day and we of course kept tabs on all the other teams ! ;)

We love our dear friend Susannah as well. She is such a hoot! We are constantly cracking up when we are all together! Yay!!

Well here are the kids school pictures. I love them so much! Mia's did not turn out so well, so we had it redone and I will update this when I can with it. They turned out incredible as well. :0)

Power Elite Expo!!

As we mentioned before Caiti is also on a local competitive cheer team. They have been working so hard over the last 5 months on their routine! It looked so awesome! I am really excited to see our first competition this weekend! Today the cheer teams performed for their friends and families. Good job girls! All that hard work is paying off!

A Day at The Lake

We were invited to Lake Monroe for a birthday party today! Our friends were celebrating their son's birthday. It was an awesome day. We swam in the lake, grilled out and of course toasted marshmallows! Check out these pics of the kids having a blast!

Football Season has begun...

Caitlin has been cheering at the football games for her school and we have been there cheering too. It is so funny because our family takes up a huge section of bleachers! Mia is so cute, she stands on the bleachers and mimics every move that Caiti does! So funny!

Beautiful Wedding...

My best friend 's daughter just got married this weekend and I was so proud to be a part of it! She looked so beautiful and I cried and cried. She was like 8 or 9 when I met her and now she is this beautiful young wife and mother. I am so proud of her and her new family and I feel blessed to be in her life!

Preschool for Mia!!!!

Mia is so excited to go back to Preschool. She cant wait to see her friend Shemiah! It is all she can talk about! Today was our first day and it was like an open house for the kids and their parents. We played and played and even met some new friends. I know she is just going to have a blast this year!

NHRA Drag Races

We go to the NHRA Drag Races every year. It is one of our family's favorite things. We attend with Gavin's parents and for the last 2 years, the girls have been coming too. This year was the first year for the boys to go. We took them on Friday night for the night qualifying. It is so neat because there are flames coming out of the engines as they zoom down the track!!



On Sunday, we got there early and were able to see our favorite driver, JOHN FORCE!! He is so good! And we love his daughter Ashley too! They have a TV show called 'Driving Force' that is pretty cool. John and Ashley both gave us thier autographs. Yeah! (This is Caiti's head and John signing her hat!)

First Day of School...

Oh my, it appears I am losing my touch as I did not take ANY pictures of my kids on the first day of school! What has happened!? hahaha My kids were relieved for it though! lol.

They started at a new school today and I was more nervous than they were. I drove them all to school this morning so I could meet their teachers since I missed the Open House last night.

They seemed fine and I enjoyed meeting the teachers. I can't wait until we live in the Parkside area and can be near their school. Soon though we hope. I am excited though to see how the year will go and then we've got Caitlin who is and 8th grader now! Yikes! She is Cheerleading again at school and for a local competitive team . Madee will try out for Basketball as soon as tryouts come around. So stay tuned!
