Senior Night at North High School

Tonight all the Seniors were recognized at our High School.  Each student was introduced with their parents and given a flower. We were so proud to be with Caitlin to celebrate all her hard work in the band over the last 4 years.

So cute!  I still could just eat her up! So thankful for who she is! We are so blessed!

First Day of school 2011

I am so blessed to be the mom of these beautiful kiddos!  My heart overflows with pride and love when I think of them!  Don't get me wrong, I have those 'Scary Mommy' moments, like everyone else...but literally these are the best decisions I have EVER made. Thank you Jesus for giving them to me.

Caitlin is beginning her SENIOR year and I have no idea how that is even possible!!  I remember taking her to her first concert (n'Sync) in Kindergarten and so many things since then, but 12th grade?! Seriously?!

Madeline is in High School this year as a Freshman. Also, doesnt seem real, but we are so excited for her and all the new things she will be experiencing!

Thane is in a milestone year, as he is beginning Middle School!! This one took gavin by surprise... we assumed the Big Girls would be moving on, but Thane?! Anyway, this is exciting and we are looking forward to him getting a chance to see some of his Rockcreek friends again! =]

Seth is back at Parkside again this year as a 5th grader. He loves Parkside and is excited to do class rotations with  different teachers for different subjects. His best friend Asher is in his class again and this makes him a happy camper! 



Mia is so excited to start 'real school'. She is not in preschool  or kindergarten anymore....she said 'Mom, I am in REAL SCHOOL now.... I'm a FIRST Grader!!' hahaha  She has a new teacher to Parkside named Mrs. Lynott. I think it will be a good match and we can't wait to see what happens.

Mini Vacation.... Road Trip- GET PUMPED!!

We took a mini vacation to Jacksonville Florida.... my dad came back to the states from a job and we met him for the drive home. It was fun to chill on the beach and eat some great food at the nearby restaurants.  =]  We also drove up the coast to Savannah , GA to see Paula Deen's restaurant Lady & Sons. We had a great lunch there and then headed home. Just in time too!!  School starts in a few days!!

Happy Birthday to My Mom!

I just wanted to give a big shout out and hug to my mom, Roxie today!!  She is the big 6-0, but I will forever have her immortalized at the age of 36.  I remember a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee when I was 15..... Mom and I were shopping downtown when we were approached by some really good looking guys. They were clearly too old for me to date, but they continued to flirt and eventually invited us to a party that night.... I remember remarking, "OH MY GOD, she's my MOM!!! AND SHE'S 36!!!"  hahaha

Not alot has changed, and yet everything has changed since then. She's still my best friend, the first one I call and my sounding board for advice. I'm all grown up now, in theory, and I have a family of my own, and sadly, I too have ventured past the magical age of 36.... but I love you mom and I am excited about the years we still have in front of us!

The boys are baptized!

Today was a great day and we are so proud of Thane and Seth for making the decision to join God's family through baptism today. =]  What a joy it is to see them decide to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior! =]  We were so happy to have our good friend Virgil do the honors! What a blessing!

Fun at the Fair...

We relented and finally made the trip out to our county fair. I mean who doesn't want to go for he food alone?! Seriously, I had to get a loaded Polish Sausage, carmel apple, funnel cake, pineapple whip, deep fried Oreo and Twinkies... whew!  Granted, I shared them with the whole fam.... but that's still a buffet of Fatty McFats favorite foods.

We enjoyed every bite and I had my Polish sausage for lunch today. Mmmmm...

We ran into my sister and her family and several friends we hadn't seen in a while. It was also nice to view the knitting projects in the booths. I soooo wish my knitting skills would improve! Maybe someday when my life slows down a bit....

Mia got the single ride of the night on the ponies.... as we didn't venture into the midway. :)
I guess I'm glad we made the trip after all...

Caitlin's Leadership Photo Session

We are so proud of Caitlin for being nominated as a Bartholomew County Youth Leader. These positions are by invitation only and the kids work hard to get the positions. She will have her picture posted in town and will have a shot at scholarships through this program!
I love the pics and have to keep from tearing up when I watch this! =[ She really has grown up too fast!!

Wildcats Baseball ....

Seth has been having alot fun playing on the Columbus Wildcats Baseball Team!  We play neighboring cities and get to travel on the weekends for games. 

He plays left field alot and loves to be at bat.  His skills are definately improving and he is making new friends!

This is a pic of him and his team at this weekend's Cal Ripken District 3 Tourney.  They pwere second in our District.  Next weekend we will play other districts in a tourney. =]
